“How do you handle storage? What are the benefits of having Royal Slopes store my lights?”
Royal Slopes provides flexibility to the customer to choose how their lights are stored. You are welcome to store at home if you prefer, but storing your lights with Royal Slopes removes ALL the hassle, and you can trust Royal Slopes completely with your lights.
When Royal Slopes stores your lights, we offer an extended warranty on lighting materials. Further, the benefits run far beyond just the saved space in your home. We have an extremely careful and organized approach to storage to ensure that your lights are not misplaced or damaged. When we store your lights, we can easily bring them for next year’s install, and take them with us after removal, meaning you’re not required to plan around setting out the lights for us or worry about having them left outside after dismount. Additionally, Royal Slopes takes great care of them (especially since we warranty them) and also provides a digital Storage Receipt (voucher) which itemizes all the products you have purchased and stored with us. You are free to use that voucher to switch over to home storage at any time, no questions asked, though this may void the warranty.
It is beneficial to consider that some other companies may have different storage habits. If they are not organized, or are “in business” only for the short term, you may want to consider whether to trust them with your lights. At Royal Slopes, we are in this for the long haul! More importantly, we’re organized and will maintain ongoing contact and care for your lights. Our long-term customer relationships and reputation depend on it.
“Do I have to purchase your lights? Can you install my lights for me?”
If you have lights that were originally installed by another professional Christmas Lighting company, within the past few years, we can install those for you. However this will not include our warranty. Otherwise we can provide our same service guarantees, so long as you have a proof of purchase within the last 18 months.
We will not install store-bought lights or consumer lights that are not commercial-grade LED. If you have these lights, we highly recommend you purchase lights with us for a more cost-effective and safe product.
“When will my Christmas lights be removed? Do I need to be home?”
We’d love for you to be there during the installation, but that isn’t required.
We remove your lights in January or February, and no scheduled appointment is necessary. We’ll show up when in the area and carefully dismount all lights. If you’d prefer to schedule an appointment for the dismount service, we have a $25 scheduling fee.
“What is your service area? What add-on services do you provide?”
Royal Slopes Christmas Lighting provides these services all along Utah’s Wasatch Front, including Utah County, Salt Lake County, Weber County, Davis County, and Summit County. This includes Utah Christmas Light Installation in the cities of Sandy, Bountiful, Salt Lake City, Springville, American Fork, Alpine, Lehi, South Jordan, West Jordan, Daybreak, Herriman, Springville, Spanish Fork, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Lindon, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, Pleasant Grove, Orem, Provo, Highland, Draper, Park City, and Heber, Utah.
In addition to Holiday Lighting along rooflines, we can also line your sidewalks, decks, or paths with Christmas lights. We can add Holiday Lighting to bushes and trees, and can also provide Christmas Wreaths, Garland, or other decoration as requested.
“Is permanent lighting an option? Is that more cost-effective?”
Permanent holiday lighting has its perks if you are someone who loves to have lights on for many holidays throughout the year, and you know you’ll live in the home for the long term. In those situations, permanent lighting would probably be a great fit.
A few other considerations include:
Given the smaller bulbs used and installation within the soffit, they don’t carry quite the same traditional Christmas season look, and often lack the same vibrant visibility from all directions. In contrast, our temporary lights are larger and stand out with that elegant, traditional style, from all directions of the home.
There is typically a much higher up-front cost to permanent lighting. But if they come with a really good long-term warranty, they could be more cost effective over a 5-10 year span. If the warranty is shorter, they may actually cost you more in the long run.
They can’t move with you. With our lights, you can take them with you after you move, and have them re-fitted to whatever new home you move to.
Currently, Royal Slopes doesn’t install permanent lights.
